Common challenges

What makes retail connectivity hard

  • Multi-site rollout consistency

Ten stores or five hundred, every site needs the same design, the same install quality, and the same result, on a schedule that keeps stores open.

  • Point-of-sale reliability

When the network drops, registers stop and revenue stops with them. POS connectivity has to be engineered for uptime, not best effort.

  • Guest and back-of-house Wi-Fi

Shopper Wi-Fi, scanners, and back-of-house systems share the same air. They need to be separated, secured, and simple to manage across every location.

Engineered for uptime

When the registers are online, revenue is too

A dropped network stops the line at every register. WZC engineers point-of-sale connectivity for uptime, separates guest and back-of-house traffic, and repeats the same proven design across every store in the chain.

  • POS and payment traffic isolated and prioritized over everything else
  • One standardized design, rolled out cleanly site after site
  • Field technicians across the contiguous U.S. for rollouts and break-fix

How WZC helps

Repeatable wireless, from one store to the whole chain

WZC builds standardized designs and delivers them site after site: in-building wireless partner to a major Midwest grocer since 2018, with turnkey ERCES across 50+ supercenter deployments.

The Wi-Fi the registers run on, cellular coverage for staff and shoppers, and code-mandated ERCES are designed as one RF plan, so they share pathways and headend space instead of competing for them.

  • Standardized designs and installs that repeat cleanly across every site
  • Point-of-sale connectivity engineered for uptime
  • Guest and back-of-house Wi-Fi separated, secured, and simple to manage

What this buyer asks us

Can you deliver the same build across every store?

That is the point of a program rather than a project. One design standard, one bill of materials, one close-out pack, repeated site by site with a single point of contact for the portfolio, so store 4 and store 250 are built the same way and documented the same way.

Our stores are in different jurisdictions with different AHJs. Who handles that?

We do. Each jurisdiction has its own interpretation, its own submittal process and sometimes its own preferred band plan, and managing that across a portfolio is most of the work. You get one schedule; we deal with the inspectors.

How do you work around trading hours?

Overnight and out of hours, as standard. Retail work is scheduled so the sales floor is clear and finished before opening, and the close-out report lands the same day rather than at the end of the wave.

Operating more than one facility? We standardize the design and repeat it, with one point of contact for the portfolio and one set of drawings every site is built from.
