First-responder coverage and secure networks for public agencies

Code-compliant first-responder communications and secure connectivity for municipal buildings and emergency services.

Common challenges

What municipalities are up against

Secure municipal Wi-Fi, in-building cellular and the first-responder coverage the code requires are designed as one RF plan, so they share pathways and headend space instead of competing for them.

  • Code-mandated ERCES responder coverage
  • Secure, segmented networks
  • Aging municipal infrastructure

Coverage topology

Connected across the municipal complex

Municipal complex topology, secure wireless links tie every agency site back to city hall, where a UL 2524-listed amplifier anchors code-mandated first-responder coverage.

  • UL 2524 Certified Systems
  • NFPA 1225 & IFC 510
  • FCC Part 90 compliant
  • AHJ-coordinated testing

What this buyer asks us

Do municipal buildings have to meet the same ERCES requirements?

Yes, and often sooner. A municipality that enforces IFC 510 on its own permit applicants is in an awkward position if its own city hall, courthouse or EOC fails a grid test, and those buildings are frequently the oldest and the most heavily constructed in the jurisdiction.

Can you work on a secure or segmented network?

Yes. We design and install on segmented networks, work to your change-control process, and our field technicians are background-checked and badged. What we need from you is the scope and the escort rules; everything else is ours to plan.

Do you hold cooperative purchasing contracts?

Ask us: the answer depends on the vehicle and the state, and we will tell you plainly which ones we can be bought through and which would need a competitive process. If a cooperative contract would make the procurement simpler, say so early and we will work out the cleanest route.

Operating more than one facility? We standardize the design and repeat it, with one point of contact for the portfolio and one set of drawings every site is built from.
